We understand how important it is for the mother-to-be to plan for the birth of her child. You want everything to be perfect, from the home-like comfort of the birthing suite to the outstanding attention you'll receive from an expert team of skilled and supportive healthcare professionals.
Each birth experience is unique, just like the child who is entering the world for the first time. That's why the staff at Petaluma Valley Hospital treats every mom-to-be and her new baby and family with individualized care that makes them feel special. We provide excellent medical care, while surrounding patients with a comfortable environment, plenty of smiles, friendly assistance and advice, and educational resources to get every baby off to a healthy start.
Before and after a child's birth, we offer special classes and consultations to prepare new mothers and fathers for the changes they will experience. In anticipation of the delivery, our childbirth and newborn care classes are frequent, and conveniently scheduled; after a child goes home, our after-care continues with parenting classes and lactation consultations as well as home care nurse visits, when necessary.
The Infant Nutrition/Lactation Services - Sitamet Consectetuer (PDF) program provides inpatient support and education, as well as telephone support and outpatient breastfeeding consultations. For more information call (707) 525-5212.
